Twitter 2.0

It's an interesting and potentially useful way of broadcasting what's important/interesting to you. Some may use it simply to have a presence on the net, while others let their audience know of information that may benefit.

Librarything 2.0

It is an interesting application but, I'm not enough of a reader to get that involved. I started a similar application on Facebook and haven't continued with it.

Sittin' on the Doc...2.0

Google Docs is a useful tool, since Apple no longer supplies (much of) a free word processor; and for committees sharing data, it is also handy.

Day by Day by Day...2.0

I am intrigued by Scrybe with all its great reviews but, it is so popular (it seems), the creators have paused on adding more users. Yahoo's calendar is convenient but, I am not mobilely connected. I will continue to rely on my paper daytimer.

Youtube, flickr 2.0

...just ways to watch motion and still pictures for entertainment, or more? Justin Bieber would likely disagree.
Beyond the obvious there is (probably) a demonstration for anything you can conceive-cameras to bomb making (!) to one I found useful: making a gong stand.
Flickr has an amazing array of photos and applications for altering them-again, great for intertainment and information value. You can see (and learn from) others' photos or share your own.
More useful tools...

RSS 2.0

Bloglines: what a collection of interesting information! Now I have access to all sorts of data caves. There seem to be several ways of signing up for feeds and (after rereading the instructions (!)), I found one that works. This could be a good way to keep on top on what's going on.

Google 2.0

I've just been reminded of all the interesting/useful applications that are part of the behemoth called Google. For me, one of the handiest is Maps, for getting directions and showing people what a destination looks like. I switched from Mapquest for ease of use.

Delicious 2.0

I'm afraid I don't find the new location of "Best Websites" nearly as convenient as its old one. The multiplicity of tags does help, though.

Facebook 2.0

Of course, like anything you aren't supposed to be doing at a particular moment, Facebook can be a waste of time, but on the plus side, it is a marvelous way of keeping up with, or track of, far away(either in space or time) friends. In addition, there are so many games you can play, singly or in concert with your friends. If your account is active enough, you will even find additions to your stock of virtual friends.
It is a tool-for good or ill, depending on how it's used.

Wiki 2.0

I was able to find several entries needing correction, although one was not editable. The changes I did make were likely because of typos, or at least lack of proofreading.

21st Century Literacy 2.0

There's more to literacy than being able to read. We are to learn the new ways, in order to be more useful to our customers. They involve, of course, the ubiquitous computer. (A world in a box; and the Internet: everybody talking at once-you have to choose to whom to listen.)
Firstly the blog, of which this is one.
I hope to become more comfortable in all these new necessities(especially the ones I haven't tried). Anything that makes me more literate is good.
You can learn something new every day, if you're not careful!
